“Your toughest opponent is the one inside your head.”

— Cathy Brown

WHO ARE HEADGUARD®?

HeadGuard® exists to protect, rebuild, and empower.

We support women and children who have survived sexual violence, war, domestic abuse, trafficking, and other life-altering trauma. Many have lost not only their sense of safety, but access to education, employment, and independence.

Our mission goes beyond recovery. We use boxing as a tool for strength, control, and self-belief, helping individuals reconnect with their bodies, regulate trauma, and regain confidence. Alongside this, we teach practical skills, accredited boxing education, and life tools that create real pathways to independence.

HeadGuard® works in the UK and internationally to help women and children move from survival to self-sufficiency.

Our vision

  • Empower through boxing
Teaching boxing safely and confidently, with pathways to coaching through accredited Boxology® courses.

  • Strengthen the mind
Providing trauma-informed mental skills, coping strategies, and mindset workshops using proven approaches.

  • Guard the body. Guard the mind.
Using sport and mindfulness to build resilience, control, and long-term independence.
